Turning Towards Happiness | Thu 31 Dec 7:30pm

Special New Year Talk with Kelsang Sama

With the New Year comes a sense of opportunity — a chance to fulfil our wishes and create a fresh start. Yet, although everything around us may feel full of potential for change and transformation, if our mind remains essentially the same, nothing really changes.

We spend so much time and energy trying to improve our external circumstances, but without changing our mind, we cannot truly transform our experience or find the lasting happiness we long for. Outwardly our life may change, yet inwardly we continue to experience dissatisfaction, worry, anxiety and loneliness.

Now is the time to change from the inside out — to train our mind and set a new direction for our life: the direction of happiness. By following the scientific methods taught by Buddha, through meditation and Dharma practice we can create new inner paths, enabling us to meet daily life with greater peace, resilience and happiness, regardless of our external circumstances. In this way, the New Year becomes an opportunity for genuine inner transformation — to turn our mind towards happiness and enjoy a meaningful life.
