Modern Day Bodhisattvas | Thu 3 June - Wed 9 June

Post-Spring Festival Retreat 2027 with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab

Day passes are available.

Following the International Spring Festival 2027, this special retreat offers a precious opportunity to deepen our understanding and experience of bodhichitta, the compassionate wish to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all living beings.

During the Spring Festival, we will receive teachings on generating bodhichitta in accordance with the special instructions given by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in his commentary to Je Tsongkhapa's Three Principal Aspects of the Path to Enlightenment, presented in his book The Mirror of Dharma with Additions.

Through these profound teachings, we can learn how to transform our ordinary attitudes into a compassionate and courageous mind that wishes to bring lasting happiness and freedom from suffering to all living beings.

This retreat provides the ideal conditions to inwardly digest the Festival teachings, taking time away from the distractions of daily life to contemplate their meaning and gain deeper familiarity with them through meditation.

Under the guidance of Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, we will have the opportunity to bring these precious instructions into our heart, strengthening our experience of love and compassion and gradually developing the extraordinary mind of bodhichitta.

By combining contemplation and meditation in the peaceful surroundings of Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre, we can begin to transform the teachings we have received into personal experience, creating a strong foundation for our continued spiritual practice.

Whether you attended the Spring Festival or wish to deepen your experience of these precious teachings, this retreat offers a wonderful opportunity to make meaningful progress on the path to enlightenment.
