Abiding in the Blessings of Losang Dragpa | Sun 25 Oct | 9:30am-4:00pm

Day Course with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab

Losang Dragpa is the name given to Je Tsongkhapa when he ordained as a monk in 14th century Tibet.  He is one of the most famous of all Buddhist masters and his teachings, example, and activities are unequalled. Today, October 25th, is the anniversary of the day he became an enlightened being and so for modern Kadampas this is a very special day of celebration.

Although he appears as an ordinary being in reality he is an emanation of Manjushri, the Wisdom Buddha. His appearance in Tibet heralded a purifying revival of the very essence of all Buddha's teachings and his tradition became known as the New Kadampa Tradition.  In modern times Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche has once again revitalised Je Tsongkhapa's tradition returning to the quintessential teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni as presented in the Ganden Oral Lineage instructions.  Learning to receive these blessings leads us to develop, wisdom, compassion and inner strength.  Everybody is welcome.
