The Joy of a Peaceful Mind

Weekend Retreat with Kelsang Tharlam

Date: Friday 20 -Sunday 22 Nov 2026
Day passes available

The real source of happiness is inner peace. If our mind is peaceful we will be happy all the time, regardless of external conditions. At present we have bad mental habits or delusions that are always interfering with our inner peace. As a consequence we find it difficult to maintain a happy, peaceful mind. On this retreat we will learn simple yet profound methods coming from Buddha's wisdom that will help us to overcome our unhelpful mental habits and how to replace these with positive states of mind. In this way we will develop a special experience of inner peace and discover for ourselves the joy and freedom that come from a peaceful mind.

What a gorgeous and peaceful place - the new meditation room is cosy in all weathers and a lovely place to meditate and listen to profound wisdom teachings. The cafe is full of welcoming volunteers and has really tasty coffee!! The grounds are full of beautiful trees too - not to be missed. 💛
