9 Dec: The Buddhist Way of Life
Seeking protection from the storm of life, going for Refuge

Discover how simple meditation practices can help you develop a peaceful mind, overcome life's challenges, and build lasting happiness.

In this evening’s session, we will learn where true refuge, or protection, can be found. What are we seeking protection from? Every moment of every day we try to avoid suffering and problems. Have we yet found this solution? We should have complete faith and confidence in the Three Jewels and live in accordance with the law of karma — abandoning non-virtuous actions such as killing and stealing, and practising virtuous actions such as maintaining a compassionate mind towards human beings and animals alike.

Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any time. No previous experience is required. This is an ongoing weekly class held throughout the year.

Head to our What to Expect page for practical info about visiting us for a class.

About the Teacher: Joel Fox-Hills is a qualified meditation Teacher of Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre. He is known for his clarity, warmth, and ability to bring Buddha’s teachings into everyday modern life.
