9 Dec: Finding True Refuge
Discovering a Reliable Source of Protection from Suffering

When life becomes difficult, we naturally look for something that can protect us from suffering and fear. Buddha taught that true refuge is found in Buddha, Dharma and Sangha — the Three Jewels — which guide us towards lasting freedom from suffering. Discover what it means to take refuge, how faith strengthens our connection with the Three Jewels, and how refuge can bring greater confidence, direction and security to our spiritual life.

Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any time. No previous experience is required. This is an ongoing weekly class held throughout the year.

Head to our What to Expect page for practical info about visiting us for a class.

About the Teacher: Gabrielle Marier-Desroches is a qualified Teacher who is currently studying on the Teacher Training Programme at Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre under the guidance of Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab. She has been studying and practising Buddha's teachings for about 10 years, integrating them into her everyday life. Her practical experience brings a warm and relatable approach to sharing Buddha’s timeless wisdom with others.
