4 Nov: Protecting Our Peace
Learning to Catch Unhelpful Thoughts Before they Disturb our Peace

Once we begin to recognise the states of mind that disturb our happiness, the next step is to understand how they develop — and how we can stop them before they take hold. Buddha explained that delusions grow through “inappropriate attention” — focusing on something in a way that exaggerates its good or bad qualities. Discover how catching this process early can help us interrupt negative patterns of thought and protect our inner peace.

Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any time. No previous experience is required. This is an ongoing weekly class held throughout the year.

Head to our What to Expect page for practical info about visiting us for a class.

About the Teacher: Gabrielle Marier-Desroches is a qualified Teacher who is currently studying on the Teacher Training Programme at Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre under the guidance of Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab. She has been studying and practising Buddha's teachings for about 10 years, integrating them into her everyday life. Her practical experience brings a warm and relatable approach to sharing Buddha’s timeless wisdom with others.
