Amitayus Retreat with Kelsang Tharlam
Day passes are available.
Our precious human life offers us a wonderful opportunity to develop inner peace, wisdom and compassion, and to make meaningful progress on the spiritual path. However, our life is fragile and uncertain, and to make the most of this precious opportunity, we need a long life, wisdom and good fortune.
Amitayus is the Buddha of Immeasurable Life, and his special meditation practice is a powerful method for increasing our lifespan, wisdom and merit — the positive energy that supports our spiritual development and happiness.
During this annual retreat, we have the opportunity to deepen our connection with Buddha Amitayus through prayers, meditation and mantra recitation. By engaging sincerely in this beautiful practice, we can create the causes for a long and meaningful life, remove obstacles to our spiritual progress and strengthen the inner qualities that enable us to benefit others.
In the peaceful surroundings of Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre, this retreat offers a precious opportunity to step away from the distractions of daily life, deepen our spiritual practice and reflect on how to use our life in the most beneficial and meaningful way.
Everyone wishing to deepen their experience of this special practice is warmly welcome.
