Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s name means ‘Ocean of Good Fortune’; and for us he is a supreme ocean of good fortune; by sincerely relying upon him we can easily fulfil all our virtuous wishes for happiness both in this life and countless future lives. How wonderful!

This Guru’s Name Mantra Retreat at Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre 2026 with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, retired General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and Resident Teacher at Tara IKRC, is open to everyone.

An opportunity to draw closer to our Root Guru through the recitation of Venerable Geshe-la’s name mantra; those who wish may collect 100,000 mantra recitations to complete a close retreat of numbers.

Throughout this retreat Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab will share special oral instructions on Guru Yoga, how to rely on the Spiritual Guide, that he received directly from Venerable Geshe-la himself. Everybody welcome!
