Special New Year Talk with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab
Turning Your Life in the Direction of Happiness
with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab
31st December | 7:30-9:00pm Talk with meditation | 9:00-11:00pm Vegetarian buffet (vegan and vegetarian)
Unhappiness and stress come because our mind is often unbalanced and we tend to follow our deluded attitudes like anger, jealous, pride and attachment. Real happiness comes directly from virtuous actions which come from our wisdom; of all virtuous minds compassion is supreme.
Compassion purifies our mind, and when our mind is pure its objects also become pure. However, first we need to develop authentic cherishing love, unmixed with attachment before real compassion naturally develops. This is something that takes a long time to train in. So, in 2026 why not take up the challenge to increase these minds and in this way really turn your mind in the direction of happiness?
Everyoby welcome!

A unique and meaningful way to welcome the New Year — by joining together in praises and requests to Buddha Green Tara in six sessions over 24 hours. This special retreat begins at 11:00pm on December 31st, marking the first of the six sessions that continue into New Year’s Day.
Tara is a female Buddha, the manifestation of the ultimate wisdom of all Buddhas, known as the Mother of the Conquerors. She has the power to free us from sorrow, remove obstacles, and fulfil our wishes for a happy and meaningful life.
Just as a mother protects and cares for her child, Tara protects us from both inner and outer dangers, provides the conditions we need for spiritual growth, and inspires us with her loving guidance. By turning to Tara with faith, we open our hearts to her blessings and begin the New Year with peace, courage, and renewed inspiration.
Benefits of Attending:
- Begin the New Year in a positive and blessed way
- Connect deeply with Buddha Green Tara through prayer and mantra
- Receive protection, inspiration, and renewed spiritual energy
Everybody is welcome!
