Transforming Our Problems
Post Spring Festival Retreat
29th May - 5th June 2026
with Kadam Morten Clausen
Following on from the NKT-IKBU International Spring Festival at Manjushri KMC in England, Kadam Morten Clausen will lead a retreat based on the teachings and commentaries received at this Festival. During this retreat, Kadam Morten will guide us in meditations on transforming adverse conditions. We will learn how to train our mind to respond to any difficulty with peace and positivity— strengthening either our wisdom or our compassion. In this way, we become resilient and invulnerable to challenging situations. To support this inner training, we will also engage once a day in the powerful meditation practice of Buddha Amitayus – the Buddha of long life, wisdom and good fortune.

Guru Yoga and Mandala Offering part II
Friday 12th - Thursday 18th June
with Kelsang Sama
Including an introduction and some guidance, most sessions of this retreat will be unguided, allowing you to deepen your personal experience of these practices.
Guru Yoga and Mandala Offering Retreat combines two of the four great preliminary guides that we need to practise if we wish to gain Mahamudra realisations, the quick path to enlightenment, according to the instructions of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
Through engaging sincerely in these practices, we create the essential inner causes for real spiritual progress and open the door to deeper realisations.
The Three Scopes
Friday 26th June - Wednesday 1st July
with Kelsang Sama
Everyone is at a different stage on the spiritual path, and Lamrim meets us exactly where we are.
In this retreat, we explore the three scopes of Lamrim: initial, middling, and great, as taught in the Kadampa Tradition by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Some seek happiness in this life, some wish for happiness in future lives, and others feel a deep calling for liberation and enlightenment. Lamrim gently guides each of these intentions, without pressure, helping us move forward step by step.
Join us at Tara IKRC and take your next step on the path to inner peace and enlightenment.
The Preciousness of Our Human Life
Sunday 5th July | 10am - 1pm
with Donna Healey

In this half-day retreat, we will contemplate the preciousness and rarity of our human life - a central meditation within Lamrim that helps us recognise our great potential for happiness, growth, and spiritual development. When we truly understand the value of our life, we naturally feel inspired to use our time wisely and meaningfully.
Suitable for everyone, this peaceful half-day retreat offers a chance to step back from busyness and reconnect with what truly matters.
The Power of Our Mind
Friday 10th - Wednesday 15th July
with Kelsang Sama
Discover the real source of happiness and suffering - your own mind.
In this Lamrim retreat, we will explore one of Buddha’s most profound insights: that everything we experience depends upon our mind. By understanding and transforming our mind, we can gradually let go of problems, develop inner peace, and create the causes for lasting happiness.
Suitable for everyone, this retreat offers a valuable opportunity to deepen your understanding and take practical steps towards lasting inner peace.
Come and discover the extraordinary potential of your own mind.
